Advantages of being a Muslim
Assalaamu Alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
I.
One of the most obvious advantage of converting to islam is the sense of
calmness and wellbeing that comes to any person who has realised life's
basic truth that there's only one God. Islam itsef is associated with
inner peace. Islam teaches us to establish a relationship between god n
yourself in the most simple, decent n pure way.. wonderful are those
moments in which a person turns to his Lord and knows that he is the only
One who grants relief from distress.
If you believe in a creator, then the real advantage is Islam has
philosophical answer to all your queries, including free-will,
pre-destination, time, heaven, hell and last but not least the reason for
your existence.
Since the creed is so basic and simple, it is very easy to follow and
most importantly you don't have to be a priest or a high level scholar to
connect to GOD following the rituals. They are set in such a way that, it
is possible for anyone to escalate to a next spiritual level.
Unlike Hinduism, where you have to worship so many gods. And one is so
confused as to which god he should pray to for different stuff..that just
creates diversion of worship. also hindu gods are so into worldy sutff
which decreases their godliness.. Hinduism doesn't really help us to
connect to God .. islam helps us to reach higher level of conscience
where we dont require any idol for worship. It helps us to get closer to
god without evn seeing him in form of idols.
ll.
Islam frees our mind form superstitions and uncertainties.. it teaches
what is haram n halal and liberates our conscience from fear and
oppression of this world .. then we are no more bound to follow things
like fashion or consumerism we become free from this system that rules
the life of people who aren't truly submitted to Allah swt. Nothing in
this dunya matters, you are kidding yourself if u think it does, its all
so irrelevant. Islam makes youe life simple.. islam is not just a
religion but a way to live under the guidance of Allah swt. Every thing
is explained in detail and the reason for why we have to follow a
particular thing is also specified this is not found in Hinduism.
There are just way to many superstitions written down in the Hindu
culture which vary from place to place but, do exist in most parts of the
country. For instance,
Prioritised days: I don't get the logic when people fast / avoid eating
non vegetarian food, avoid haircuts, avoid shopping on some specific days
of the week / month / year. The same God is unaffected if you eat non veg
, or get haircuts, or go shopping on the other days!
This creats difficulty in life when u are bound to follow certain things
without any specific reason
III.
Other problem being casteism. Which is been goin on since olden days
wherein people are graded unequally.. A part of it still exist in the
modern hindu society where people are judged and segregated by their ser
names. Even now when it comes to marriage or any other social activity
Hindus are always into cast discrimination. For example, A brahmin will
always reconsider and wouldnt want his daughter getting married to a
lower cast peraon evn if that person is rich or wealthy because Brahmins
are the so called elite here, because they were, well, born Brahmins. So
they dont associate with lower castes. in some parts india people of
lower castes are still made to do odd jobs n considered as untouchables.
This is the reason major part of such people got converted to various
religions.
One advantage is that Islam teaches that people are all equal in the eyes
of God except for their deeds (which is judged by God alone), and thus,
it is a brotherhood that transcends race, color, nationality, language,
tribe, caste, rich/poor etc.
In the house of God, in prayer, Muslims stand side by side whether you
are the a king or a peasant. There are no separate congregations/mosques
based on nationality or ethnicity. Everyone is treated equal. You can
pray at home or anywhere at all, without middleman
It is stated that, without doubt the believers are brothers of one
another so then make peace and harmony between your brothers and have
consciousness of Allah so that maybe He will show you mercy. the Qur’an
invites humanity to unite and come together under the principles of love
and affection and thus, has referred to the faithful believers of a
society as being brothers (and sisters) of one another.
IV.
The line separating Hinduism with other religions is either erased or was
never carved. Though may not be a problem for many but for some, it
leaves them on a no man's land. Hindus are often confused if they are
religious, atheist, agnostic or a combo. Opinions, interpretations, no
single founder no single holy book looks chaotic and comes across as its
largest drawback. You can be a Hindu and still Not worship or follow any
deity.
Follow or worship more than one (even hundreds) deity.
Question a deity, existence and principles.
Never visit a temple. Like my nani who hardly visits.
You can attain any look, carry any attire.
In a sentence, Hinduism lack a rigid boundary definition for it's
followers. You may be a Hindu but not live like a Hindu because you don't
know where the line starts and where it ends .. Hinduism isnt organised
your free to accept and reject things there are no such specific terms
according to which u should live your life..
But in Islam everything is mentioned is detail information.. Every single
thing in islam is based on making our relation our bond with Allah swt
more stronger .. like the five daily prayers, making dua.. purification
such as wudhu n ghusl.. wearing hijab being modest which helps females to
protect themselves it is a protection given by Allah swt it helps them to
express themselves in a better way people get to know their beliefs
thoughts n views first rather than physical appearance .. they can feel
safe n always be in a pure state.
V.
So as far as we are concerned with the Hindu religious book like the
bhagwat geeta which is a guide book to life or the vedas one cannot say
for sure if they were the revelations of God. they were only meant for
people of that time and were to be followed only for that particular
period of time. Today all human beings through out the world including
India should only follow the last and final Revelation of God, i.e. the
Qur’an.
the Glorious Qur’an is to be followed for eternity, Allah (swt) has taken
upon Himself to maintain its original purity and guard it from
corruption. Allah says in Glorious Qur’an.
Surah Hijr chapter 15 verse 9
"We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly
guard it (from corruption)."
[Al-Qur’an 15:9]
For a religion to be considered the best, it should have the solution to
all the problems of mankind. It should be the religion of truth, and
should be applicable to all ages. Islam is the only religion which has
the solution to all the problems of mankind. e.g. the problem of
alcoholism, surplus women, rape and molestation, robbery, racism,
casteism, etc.
Islam is the religion of truth, and its laws and solutions are applicable
to all the ages. The Qur’an is the only religious book on the face of the
earth, which has maintained its purity and authenticity proving itself to
be the word of God in all the ages. i.e. previously, when it was the age
of miracles, literature and poetry and in present times when it is the
age of science and technology. Moreover, Islam is not a man-made
religion, but a religion revealed and inspired by Almighty God. It is the
only religion acceptable in His Sight.
Allah swt knows the best!
Walaykum saalam wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
