Asslamualikum Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam.
Allah says:
You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’rûf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islaam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh……. (Quran 3: 110).
Thus Islam Produces the most civilized society when that society accepts Islam and lives by the Shariah.
Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of Allâh, and in His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him)] including all obligations ordered by Islâm] and do righteous good deeds, they are the best of creatures. (Quran 98:7 )
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the model of Human perfection. He was the ultimate leader, ultimate commander, ideal husband. best father, best friend. He was the walking Quran. And those who followed him are honored in this world and the next. AbuBakr, Umar. Uthman, Ali, Khadija, Aisha, Fatima, Khalid bin Walid and the list goes on. More than 1400 years have past and still billions of Muslims love and admire both the Prophet (peace be upon him) and His Companions (male and female, young and old) and will do till the end of this world. Islam raised their status so high because they took the Quran as their constitution and The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as their teacher and leader. Allah praised them and gave them victory after victory against their enemies.
Allah says about Sahabah:
“And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajiroon (the Emigrants from Makkah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madeenah who helped the Muhajiroon) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success.” [9:100]
Road to Islam and Muslim Unity
The link between Muslims of different tribes, nations, colors, languages is Islam. Therefore unity is not achieved by compromising Islam but by every one sticking to Islam. The Islam as taught to the Sahabah by the Prophet (peace be upon him).
When people start to compromise Islam. Then this strong link of Brother hood and unity starts to become compromised and becomes weaker and weaker as one compromises more and more. Then racism, nationalism and hate begins And our enemies triumph over us because of our disobedience.
Therefore a Muslim is one who says
“We Hear and Obey”
He or she does not pick and choose which parts of Islam to believe in or which parts of Islam to follow. HE/She believes in all and tries to follow all parts of Islam.
Therefore we should
- 1. First Know what are the conditions of Shahadah (kalima) and what invalidates the Shahadah Unfortunately many Muslims do not know what the conditions of shahadah are and what invalidates the shahadah.
- 2. Have proper understanding of Tawheed. Correct understanding of Tawheed and Aqeeda can help a person from being mislead by deviate people and thus help prevent him from going outside the fold of Islam.
- 3. Know what shirk is and its different forms so we can avoid it. Shirk is the ultimate sin and only sin that Allah will not forgive. It is easy to fall into to. Unfortunately many Muslims are committing shirk without even knowing it.

They are the Book of Allaah and my Sunnah (life example).” [al-Haakim] And he also said, “…and you will live to see great differing, so cling to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly-guided Khalifas after me, even if it be with your molar teeth…” [Bukhaaree]
- Rasulallaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said, “I warn you of the newly invented-matters (in the religion), and every newly-invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in Hellfire.” [an-Nisaa’ee]

Prayer
The five time prayers (salah in Arabic or namaz in Urdu/Turkish ) become obligatory from the moment a person embraces Islam.
“…Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.” (4:103)
Abu Huraira narrated that Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said:
“Just see, can anything of his filthiness remain on the body of anyone of you if there were a river at his door in which he washed himself five times daily?” They said, “Nothing of his filthiness will remain (on his body).” He said, “That is like the five prayers by which Allah obliterates sins.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
This is an extremely important tenet of Islam and has been enjoined with great emphasis both in the Quran and the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). According to one of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sayings, it is the borderline between a Muslim and a non-believer. So no one who says that they are Muslim should avoid prayer at its time. Whether you are at work or travelling you should not miss your prayers. Even those in combat (jihad) never miss their prayers. So how can any one make excuses?
